Jenbacher gas engines ready for hydrogen.

Starting today, Jenbacher Type 4 gas engines are available as “H2-Ready” engines, capable of operating on up to 100% hydrogen.

Starting in 2022, all other engine types are offered as “H2-Ready,” with the option to operate using up to 25% (v) hydrogen in pipeline gas. All “H2-Ready” units and most Jenbacher natural gas engines currently installed can be converted to run on 100% hydrogen as hydrogen gas becomes more widely available.
